GoType processes everything on your Mac. Your text, audio, and personal data are never sent to any server, third party, or cloud service.

1. What GoType can see

GoType reads the text surrounding your cursor in the focused text field via macOS Accessibility APIs. This text is used only to generate a completion suggestion and is never stored beyond the immediate inference call.

2. On-device processing

All language model inference runs locally on your Mac using the llama.cpp runtime and Apple Metal acceleration. No text or audio is transmitted over the network. GoType works fully offline.

3. Voice and audio

The microphone is only active while you are actively using the push-to-talk feature. Audio is processed on-device and discarded immediately after transcription. No audio recordings are retained.

4. Password fields

GoType does not read from password fields, secure input fields, or any field that macOS marks as sensitive. Accessibility context is not captured in those contexts.

5. Personalization data

User voice preferences and personalization data are stored locally in ~/Library/Application Support/io.gotype.AISkillTypist/ and are never uploaded.
